KYB releases new “Consumer Reaction” videos

Unscripted footage documents the difference new shocks and struts can make for real world drivers

Greenwood, IN, November 1, 2022 – In a series of new videos, KYB Americas Corporation has documented the difference new shocks and struts make for vehicle owners. The company’s new “Consumer Reaction” videos capture three different drivers’ impressions of how their older vehicles ride and handle before and after installing new KYB shocks and struts.

To establish a baseline, all three drivers performed a road test on public roads in real world conditions before the installation of new shocks. The drivers each gave an account on camera of how their vehicles handled challenging road conditions and driving maneuvers. After new KYB shocks and struts were installed, the same road tests were repeated. All three vehicle owners were highly impressed with the dramatic improvements the new KYB shocks and struts made to the ride quality and handling performance of their vehicles.

According to Andy Castleman, Brand Manager for KYB Americas Corporation, “Vehicle owners are not usually aware that their shocks and struts are worn, since it happens gradually over time. When you watch the new videos, the drivers’ reactions and performance of the vehicles speak for themselves!”

The new videos are part of the ongoing effort by KYB to educate vehicle owners on the role that worn shocks and struts play in a loss of driving comfort and safety.
