Shock and strut service education

KYB is committed to providing ongoing shock and strut service education for professional technicians and counter personnel. Our mission includes providing education and safety for shops, parts stores, and consumers. We believe that knowledge allows for better decisions and safer driving.

• The KYB Video Training Series: We offer online, video-based education and certifications on diagnosing, servicing, installing, and selling ride control products. The KYB Video Training Series includes short videos and quizzes for Parts Pros and Service Technicians. Professionals learn how to determine whether shocks are worn enough to recommend replacement, why shocks are important to vehicle control and safety systems, and techniques to increase their ride control replacement business. • KYB Mobile Training: The KYB ‘4Trainer’ is a custom-built Toyota 4Runner overlanding vehicle that hits the road to deliver shock and strut service education directly to shops. The KYB 4Trainer utilizes an audio/video system and product displays for on-site education programs. It also provides immediate access to the KYB Video Training Series. The 4Trainer is also used to educate consumers about the need for improved ride control when running larger wheels and tires, hauling, or towing.

• KYB Quarterly e-Learning Newsletter: The KYB Ride Control Expert Series e-learning newsletter is a component of KYB’s industry-leading Certified Ride Control Center Program. In addition to offering tips and advice on successful ride control sales methods at the service counter, the newsletter provides service providers with a forum for ride control technical topics and insights into KYB manufacturing processes.

To receive the Ride Control Expert Series newsletter, a service provider must be a member of the KYB Certified Ride Control Center Program. The newsletter provides an exclusive channel for top-level service providers to receive ride-control information, training, and news not available elsewhere.
